So I decided today that we are painting and putting in wood floors in my livingroom today. Went and bought the paint and supplies for it. Cleaned out the kitchen and moved a bunch of stuff from the living room in there and ripped a wall of wallpaper down and treated it and scraped it clean. Now its bedtime, the sun is coming up, and I am retiring to go to work tommorow and then in a few days Im ripping out the carpet and tossing it and probably painting the subfloor so it will lock out any pet smells and hopefully the cats wont piss on the new floor, which is the main reason Im doing this. I cant take it anymore. I cleaned the carpet twice last week and withing 2 days they pissed on it again and the smell was back. I love animals but sometimes I just want to wring their fucking little necks. Lol. Not really but if were only a lot simpler to dealk with. I have taken some before pics and will be posting them in my photos and I will continue to take more pictures as we progress.

there's this great stuff called Petzyme--haven't used the cat kind, but the regular stuff worked great for dog barf, poop & pee on clothe, carpet & wood floors.

Something I've learned over the years: cats pee where they've peed before... if you don't entirely get rid of the smell, they will continue to pee there. And to clean the pee... don't use anything with ammonia in it (like bleach) since that's just intensifying the ammonia in the cat's pee. There are special sprays for this sort of thing with citrus smells in them that could help. FYI.
