I have to comment on your earlier blog to say that we learn how the world works in our first 5 years of life when our critical faculties are non-existent. It's normal for a child to conclude that cruel behavior from others is earned and it's to your credit that you brought your adult judgment to bear on that belief system and rewrote it while you're still so young. The ridiculous way your ex treated you shows that he's uncivilized and immature while you showed tremendous grace and kindness in trying to spare his reputation and feelings. You deserve a wonderful life and I've no doubt that you will have it.
