Thinking About Nothing
Last night, as I defeated the Astros to reach the World Series on my MVP 2005 game for PS2, I came to the realization that I am constantly thinking, talking, or singing in my head. I was singing "out of Range" by Ani Difranco over and over and was completely sick of it because it was only one verse. That's when I realized what I was doing and stopped...
*** SILENCE ***
It was almost as if a void was created in my head. I felt dumber, and yet less stressed. Like pushing you arms against both side of a doorway for a really long time and letting go. There were phantom thought spaces, but no actual thoughts. Ani kept slowly fading in, but I pushed her back down. I stared. Intently. At. Nothing.
It's like yoga for the mind.
