Was going to do a long post about our last bout which was from an officiating standpoint, not a success in my opinion, but, i'm not "ove ir" over it, but over it enough to look at it and take it as a learning opportunity for all of us.

Just got back from Rollercon, I'm effing exhausted. It was a lot of fun, took a few great classes worked a few challenge bouts and one full bout, which was interesting. All in all it was a really fun but strange weekend. Las Vegas is just weird.

the last time I was in Vegas was nearly thirty years ago ...it was weird then and can only imagine how much more weird it is now


Work is indeed a pain in the ass even as it's a blessing to pay my bills, have food to eat and a place to hang my hat ...but I gotta get some fun going or I'll lose it ...whiteaker block party tomorrow (a raucous Eugene freak-fest) ...my chance to be saved ...wish me luck

With our league being so new, there's not a wholewhole lot to volunteer for, but whenever there's anything, I'm there. Especially because I'm meat. I'm hoping the strain isn't too horrendous and I can skate soon. I've never had a sprain so I'm not entirely sure what to expect. They ask us to ref for scrimmages but they never teach us the rules, so who knows. Maybe this is more of a reason to learn the rules.
