So I was in the Twin Cities with some friends over the weekend. I had a lot of fun, although I could do without another trip to the Mall of America. I've been at that place so many times it would last me three lifetimes. The main reason why I go to the Mall of America is because I have friends who have never been at the Twin Cities that come with me and they want to see it. With that in mind, I think I will choose not to volunteer to be someobody's tour guide for the Twin Cities again. Still though, I had a good time. I love going to see blues bands at Famous Dave's and this time I saw Mick Sterling and the Stud Brothers - great blues and soul music, they blew me away.

I went to the MicroCon in St.Paul on Sunday, and it was a pretty good con even though it was only a one-day event. The convention is getting bigger and bigger, which is awesome. I tried to get a table at this convention, I emailed the orgainizers three times over three months and I never got a response; so I tried to get this artist who has a table already locked in at the convention to help me get my own table; even though her plea for my help fell on deaf ears I wanted to give her something back as a token of my gratitude. I knew she liked Skyy Vodka alot, so I bought her a bottle of vodka to bring to the convention for us to share and slowly get drunk at the convention. Both her and I were really looking forward to it. Well, that Sunday morning before going to the convention I had the bottle in a duffle bag and when I set the bag down so I could open the trunk of my car I dropped the duffle bag and it broke the vodka bottle! Vodka went all over my clothes in the bag and I cut thumb trying to get all of the broken glass out of the bag. I was pissed. And I couldn't buy liquor on Sundays in Minnesota! So as soon as I got back to Wisconsin I bought another bottle and I am going to ship it to her (wrapped HEAVILY in shirts and cushiony things so it doesn't crack again) with a cartoon of Lindsay (the main character from School: A Ghost Story) apologizing for my fuck-up.

In other news, being short of money sucks. A LOT. There are so many things I want to do, but I owe too much money from tuition debt and paying off my car (as well as bills and insurance) that taking out a loan will only exacerbate things. But what can ya do?
