Thanks everybody for the happy birthdays!
I felt loved
My birthday was celebrated a little bit last weekend and will do some more celebrating this weekend (birthdays falling in the middle of the week should be celebrated like Polish weddings - you start early and you just keep it going). On Saturday I saw Dr.Kickbutt and His Orchestra of Death and they were hilarious as usual. The comic I did for them was finished JUST in time - I would have gotten there earlier if Office Max wouldn't have kept jamming up the copiers by using too thick of paper
I'm trying to boycott Kinko's after a few not-too-pleasant experiences with them, but so far my boycott hasn't been fruitful. After the Dr.Kickbutt show I went to Tom's Garage and got drunk. I have a couple guilty confessions. I hope you don't hate me, but if you do, I understand (no, I'm not a Republican). First off, I like Bluegrass music. While I despise country music, I like bluegrass and I don't know why. Maybe it's because bluegrass has more emphasis on the instruments instead of crappy singing and crappy lyrics. The reason why I tell you this confession is Tom's Garage that night had a few bluegrass bands playing, and I had an awesome time. Those bands were really talented and played like motherfuckers. My second confession is last Saturday was the first time I've ever had Tequila. You'd figure in Wisconsin I would have started drinking that as soon as I could get my hands on it, but I don't know I just didn't have an itching for Tequila up until Saturday. Wierd.
Tomorrow I'm heading on up to the Twin Cities partly for a weekend getaway and partly for a comic book convention. Blues and drinking on Friday night, galavanting around the city on Saturday, then go to the comic book convention on Sunday. I'm going with three friends, it'll be fun. I'm going to forget about everything for a couple days so I can let loose.
First Wave Distribution has told me for the fifth time that they sent me comic book printing samples and I haven't recieved it. I know they have my address right because I reconfirmed it with them the last time they said they've sent the copies. So where are they? UGH! So they kinda lost my trust. I will go with another printer who's already established with the comic book business. I've decided to go with Morgan Printing for my printer, got a nice quote from them and they're the best deal thus far. I'll make the move next week for the green light to them - YEEAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! (said in manly groan)
Speaking of manly groans, my voice is a little horse from allergies and I kinda sound like Barry White. If it wasn't for the coughing and sneezing I would go to the bar and utilize the new soul-throated me in an attempt to sweet talk the ladies.
Just kidding.
