Got back from Alabama late last night (from my cousin's wedding). The wedding was great, but I got sick of my family because I was around them almost every hour of the day - I know that sounds cruel, and I have nothing against them, but after awhile I just wanted to get the hell away from them. But the wedding itself had candles everywhere and instead of boring church hymns they sang Christmas songs, so that was really nice 
The smoking ban has been defeated!!! I'm so relieved! It was a tie with the Appleton City Council voting, and the Mayor casted the tie-breaking vote to defeat the proposed ban. My father argued against the ban, thank God, despite the large droves of anti-smoking groups breathing down his neck. Phew!
I just bought the 5,6,7,8's cd "Bomb the Twist" - they are the Japanese trio playing in the Kill Bill movie. I think I must have played the title track about ten or fifteen times already - goddamn that song is catchy!
I also, FINALLY, finished reading Johnny the Homicidal Maniac trade paperback. I loved it, especially when Johnny was in Heaven and Hell; very amusing. Hope everyone is doing well

yeah, i was kinda pissy when that book came out, because i already had every one of the johnny comics, so i didn't feel the need to buy it all over again. i hate it when they do that. it's like when they come out with a best-of cd of a band in which you have all their albums already. but johnny is sooo funny.
