I just got back from the Twin Cities Fall Con - I had a blast! I took pictures of my journey at the con and created a folder for them here. It was so much fun to see all my old college buddies and some professionals I worked with. It made me want to move back to the Twin Cities - I even got into talks with Dead Dog Comics about them looking into offering me work; we'll see how that goes. I came to the Twin Cities kind of last minute so I didn't have a table, just fliers to pass out to people to promote my website. But within a half hour of being at the con, I found an MCAD friend and he gave me a part of his table to use; I was ecstatic.
I also used cruise control for the first time in my car - holy shit that's fucking awesome! I got to look at pretty colored trees by the highway and shit instead of worrying about my speed all the time. Damn that's hot!!!

I used to be in sci-fi/fantasy publishing (I worked for Tor books) and went to a bunch of cons. A bit different from comic cons I'm sure. Really wasn't my scene but I always ended up having a lot of fun and got to meet come crazy people. The only comic related people I met were cross-genre folks like Neil Gaiman. Comic folks seem to think thats pretty cool.
When I was a kid I was obsessed with war comics: Sgt. Rock and G.I. Combat were my faves. Do they still print stuff like that?
