So Friday night I went to Milwaukee with my friend Heather and spent the night at her mom's. On Friday night we went to Comedy Sports - hilarious! I never laughed that hard in years! Saturday we visited her Aunt in Whitefish Bay, who's a Court of Appeals judge and has a LOT of money. Their house is gorgeous, right on a bluff on the edge of Lake Michigan with a beautiful view of the lake from her house. Then we went to see Shaun of the Dead - a very, VERY funny movie. Too bad they're not showing it up here in Appleton yet - maybe if it does better in the box office in the select cities it's in it might creep its way up here.

Heather is leaving for the army on Wednesday, and I was afraid she wanted to have relationship with me because she was coming off as clingy and sometimes even needy. Thankfully we had a little talk on Saturday morning and she said she's not really looking for a relationship either because of her situation with the army. She's a great person and all and I wish her the best of luck with whatever she does, but I'm not really looking for a relationship right now.

In other news, I submitted my site, deftoons.com, to onlinecomics.net - and it has brought TREMENDOUS results! Traffic spiked exponentially because of it, it's the most effective free advertising I've ever done. Also I've been receiving great comments on it, however I have one comment saying they would like to see "next page" and "previous page" link buttons on the page they're viewing, which is a valid concern (especially for webcomics where less clicking needed means more returning visitors), so I may have to work some overtime overhauling my website's pages to make it more convenient for viewers.

This Friday I'm going to Minneapolis to the FallCon Comic book convention. I felt like I had to go because I looked at their guest list and I realized I know half of the guests! Some I knew from my internship, some I knew from my time at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, some I know just from attending all sorts of comic book conventions and seeing them there. I guess I'm going by myself because all of my friends are cheesing out on me - that's okay, I can keep myself entertained for the weekend. I'll just go to some live shows around downtown or maybe just stay in the hotel and work on the next page. Unless someone wants to join me that's cool too...
