Ok, so I'm watching Disney's The Three Caballeros, and I'm also checking out info online about this awesome movie. Movie Martyr has an interesting (if brief) analysis fo the film iin terms of some rather repressed sexual innuendo in the film. I actually kind of agree with it. And, looking back at what a fan fo the film I was, as a kid, i see something that may have set me off in a certain direction. Go fig.
Its something else to wonder what the deal was with Disney trying to court the South American market. I mean, If you look at Three Caballeros, Saludos Amigos and a smattering of shorts throughout the post-WWII era, there's a lot of love ffor those south of the equator. Strangely, it doesn't extend past the early 50s, and even when it was being done, its kind of tongue-in-cheek (almost racist). Just weird, i guess. At any rate, Three Caballeros is one of the most frantic and fun films that Disney ever produced.

I'd also like to make a little note here: I was kind of drunk when I wrote this entry.
