So yesterday, just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse, it didn't. That was nice. I needed an upper division religious studies class, but there aren't that many that don't require some kind of knowledge of the bible or god or whatever, so I signed up for one without having any idea what it was about. The catalog description just said something about it dealing with a different theme that changes every quarter. Turns out it's all about love and how the ideals of it have changed throughout history, and a bunch of other crap, none of which seems to have anything to do with religion. Anyway, on the first day he made us write out this whole thing about what our ideal love would be like, and how it would unfold, and what would happen. It made me realize all the many many ways I'd been settling before, and it made me really glad I took this class. It's kind of like getting therapy for school credit.
Also, I bought Aimee Bender's latest book, Willful Creatures, which I highly recommend to all of you because it's wonderful. I shouldn't really have spent the money, but I decided I deserved it because I was miserable over getting in a car accident.
Tomorrow I have to go to the car repair place with the guy I hit and find out how much it's going to cost me. Fortunately he agreed to let me just pay for it instead of going through insurance, because I think that will save me a lot of money. It wasn't even dented or anything, it just has a big scrape mark on the bumper. Hopefully it won't be that expensive, because I'm broke, although I think I get my financial aid on monday, which will be wonderful.
I think that's all. I'm off to work.

Aww, that sounds like a really cool class. Good job.

I would, but it's a better story with the diagrams and ahnd gestures that happen when I tell it in person.
