I'm so tired!
Today has been non-stop until right now. I slept in until about noon, showered, then hit the pool hall with my friend Nathan. We shot pool until about 3:30 then we went to Teds Cafe Escondido and I had some really good tamales. After the eats we drove by my ex girlfriend house yelling such things as bitch, cheater, etc. Then it was up north to Size Records. A little hole in the wall type record store run by a guy named Jim who has been practically the ONLY person who's carried the underground, lesser appreciate type music shit ie. punk, oi, reggae etc. I went way overboard as I always do when I go out there (I'll list my buys at the end). After that it was about 6, so we went to the mall to see about some clothes. No luck on that, but we met up with a guy I know named Zack and ended up hanging around for a half hour or so. We didn't quite feel like calling it a night so early, so we saw Dodge Ball. It's stupid as hell and very funny. I suggest you see it.
As an update on my friend coming to down... it's CONFIRMED!
She'll be here the morning of August 9th and she'll leave that Friday night on the 13th (although I'm really trying to get her for an extra day so we can go to the Flametrick Subs show and say a hello to coffeecat. Either way it's going to be a really great time. I'm already starting to clean and plan stuff to do.
CD's I spent way too much money on:
Trojan Suedehead Box Set
Eddie and the Hot Rods - Get Your Balls Off (Japanese import from 76' that Jim bought personally when he was stationed over there in his Marine days, he's had it on the shelves for 10 years and 4 different store locations)
The Misfits - Kill Your Baby Today (Also an import. Live, Ritz NYC Dec, 81)
The Templars - Omne Datum Optimum
The Slackers - Live at Ernesto's
Cost me about 70 dollars. Whoops. Good stuff though right?
