I found out last night over drinks that my friend Katie, who's a nurse at the hospital I was taken to after my accident, called my friend Josh the day after I got out of surgery and told him that, based on my x-rays, if the injury had been any worse I almost definitely would've lost my arm.
As in amputation.
This was news to me, and for reasons I can't really explain, depressed me greatly.
I certainly don't blame Katie for not telling me this; I probably could've gone the rest of my life without finding that out, and would've been better off for it.
Anyway, just makes you think. Well, it makes ME think, at least. It's a good thing the rest of my life is so awesome.

Weird. I made a comment on this journal entry and it never showed up. Or maybe I was drunk and I never clicked submit. Can't be certain.

Okay, that guy on the left side of your profile pic is starting to creep me out. Who is he, and why is he smiling at you while you lick the air? He must disturb me no longer.
