So holy shit, I really fucked myself up last month in a bike accident. Broke my elbow, necessitating a seven hour-long surgery and a five day hospital stay. It'll be months before I'm fully recovered, but the good news is that, as previously mentioned, I'm expected to fully recover. The other good news is that I have the most bitchin' ten inch scar running from my tricep past my elbow down my left arm, and it has singlehandedly multiplied my tough guy points by, like, a million.
Unsurprisingly, this whole ordeal has put a major cramp in my high profile bachelor lifestyle, though I'm making it out of the house more and more often these days. I have a removable splint, so when I'm not feeling like parading my gimpiness around, I can take it off and once again walk amongst the normals. The only thing that I can't do is straighten or bend that arm very far in either direction, so I kind of maintain this limp-wristed affectation when I walk around, which makes me look either gay or affluent.
Anyway, all else is well. I'm caught up on the friends requests. Sorry about that.

Haven't heard of either of the bands you mentioned. I don't do music much. Only reason I was at this show is my roommate bought an extra ticket. Last show I was at before that was the P-Funk a couple years back. They were better five years ago when George Clinton wasn't walking death, but they still put on a damn good show, I think. It's odd, I seem to make friends with musically inclined/interested people, but sorta just listen to whatever myself. My last GF played oboe for the Puerto Rico symphony. She was always playing weird orchestra and opera stuff for me. Some of that was pretty awesome. Last thing I discovered on my own was a medley called "Rodeohead". So awesome.
Wind-up Bird Chronicles: good stuff. With OMM, well, I could say enough to fill up a book. I will say I'm glad they never reviewed the game I was a programmer on. So this guy is also a fantastic blog-style writer:

The FAQ at the bottom of the page is a riot, as well.
