I just got back from Arizona. I was underwhelmed. Sorry... don't mean to offend anyone from the Valley of the Sun but, sheesh. I remember having a great time in Scottsdale back in high school during the Giants' Spring Training... and I guess I took the name "Cactus League" for granted... but good goddam there's a whole lotta nothing out there.
Whole lotta nothing apart...

Happy Monday though.

Apparently the coolest people have 22 friends.
See now, there's this ever-growing concern of mine, nestled just behind memory maintenance in an effort to stave off the slightest chance of age-related senility and preserve general longevity... and a healthy few paces ahead of such selfless interests like world peace, animal cruelty prevention, and the resurrection of pop music. Whether my issue has anything to do with a birthday milestone is a point...

hey there buddy! How's teaching going? I being a teacher. It's really rewarding and I feel so good every day. So what's new with you? By reading your journal it seems like we are on the same page about thinking about the age/life crisis. It's Time that we are fighting. Hope all is well!
parisambrosia:
Funny......it seems to me that I do ALL of my serious thinking when I am driving somewhere far. It's my only time that I have all to myself it seems these days.

That was a fantastically fun post to read. You never dissapoint my friend. Carpe fuckin' Diem!!
Interesting few days...
This past weekend I photographed my first wedding. I wasn't the first choice, and I didn't at all feel prepared or properly-equipped, but it was an emergency, they were friends, and, after all, I was getting paid. Hard to say no. In any event I learned a lot about patience, lighting, batteries, wedding cake, timing, and how to calm the people being...

Apparently, getting sued? WTF mate? Who is suing you and why?
Rooting for you of course.
And should you ever need to suddenly escape the country, you've got friends here in Vancouver. And a place to stay.
Meanwhile, you should come visit us. Speaking of, I'll be in LA next week visiting the lovely LizaRose - perhaps we could connect for a drink?

My head is spinning. And I've been terrible about returning phone calls. One day swims into the next without warning and I can't remember what I meant yesterday to put off for today until it's already too late to schedule for tomorrow. I'm being sued (silly, really... but stressful nonetheless) and I now have forty-eight hours to take, pass, and FedEx online traffic school before...

My deepest condolences for your lack of Scotch. A situation I truly hope gets remedied as soon as possible.
In the meantime congratulations on taking yer birthday by the wrinklies and persuading it toward the path of excellence.

Italian Night '05 went a little something like this:
The Giants, for those of you keeping track thus far this year, are abyssmal. Say what you will about Bonds, the bullpen, or those damn Caribbeans, but this season has been a nightmare. At this year's Ital-fest, part of the Ethnic Heritage Week that included high-fives to Irish and Jewish fans, we were packed in the...

Plans is still growing on me.
It would be nice to attribute my absence and altogether infrequent presence this past summer to some fabulous vacationing or wild adrenaline-soaked days on the road. Sounds pretty lame to say um, well... I don't have internet access at home and I had to wait until the school year started in order to properly start abusing the taxpayers' dollars. But my roommate is thisclose to...

Hurrah for comics and sulking! A valid choice at any juncture I say.
Bout time you got your ass back in the regular online express coach and did some good and proper journal terrorizing. Props to you good sir. Props.
ps: What the hell are props any way? Gilded propellers on plinths with plaques at the bottom? Random set dec items, quaintly gift-wrapped? Random bits of lumber wedged strategically under the object of complimentary intentions?

Despite myself, I must say that looks pretty fun.
How've you been? How were the trips, the music, the summer thus far?
Tell me stuff! Stories! Anecdotes! Tales and tidbits!
