Guess who got a flat?!
I'm really excited... if all goes well, the keys will be in my possession as of Tuesday. And by 'if all goes well' I mean 'if my mum doesn't bottle out as my guarantor'. The less said about that the better, mind you.
Tonight I began the clearing of my room. It's never too early, as far as I'm concerned. I've gone through all the clothes in my closet and have decided to put the half I never wear to charity and the rest fills a bin bag nicely. This is minus the 80% of my collection that I wear daily, which is in my dirty washing bag. I know, I know.. it's next on my 'to do' list.
I also packed up my CD's, Games and DVD's into 3 BIG bags. Kinda sad to look into the corner of my room and realise that my 20 years has accumulated only 3 shopping bags worth of 'stuff'... but hey. It's easy to move.
I sorted through the past 3 years of uni stuff, too. Notes, module guides, handouts... all binned. It's an amazing feeling to throw out half of my life.
The next time I'm off work it'll be tackling the uni books and the other bits and bobs I have lying around and that's me. Being the saddo that I am, the laptop will be last to pack up and then it'll be off the the flat. I've already begun terming it my 'Fortress of Solitude'. I just can't wait to get there and chill out.
Other than that, UNI'S BACK!
I've managed to squeeze my 4th year timetable into 2 days, too; Tuesday and Wednesday. It's like my weekend:weekday ratio is backwards, which is good because it gives me plenty of time for independent study and work. Except for the little fact that as of Sunday I'm out of work... that's needing rectified as soon as I settle into the regime of Glasgow living and Uni life, if not sooner. I've handed out a few C.V's around the Merchant City and next in line to get bombarded is Ashton Lane. I wish I didn't have to resort to Bar work, but when it's impossible to find course-related work a gal's gotta make pennies some way!
So now I have a free night. I sense Frasier getting slammed on and me chilling out.
I'll leave you with this:
There's a bottle of AMAZING Fleurie and and bottle of Maker's Mark Bourbon, both unopened, sitting on my desk which are rather tantalizing, but I've promised myself I'd keep them for the flat.... Can I resist?
Tune in next time to find out....

Congrats on the new place. Moving is a bitch, but it'll be awesome when you're in
