Holy Jesus fuck. What a hassle!
Sorry for not being here for like, months, but I have a decent story!
A while ago, I switched from using Mozziilla Firefox to using Apple Safari as an internet browser. This meant switching over all my passwords, usernames etc., which I did and had my laptop save them.
A couple of days later I came onto SG and expected to be signed in, but it hadn't saved my password (which I had consequently forgot, but thought I knew). Anyway, I kept trying to sign in but to no avail. I came to the conclusion that my membership had run out and that I didn't have enough money to renew it. It was sad, but I lived with it.
So, that was that for a couple of months, until about 20 minutes ago when I woke up and checked my online banking (because today's payday!) and I noticed in one of my bank accounts 15 had been taken off from something I didn't have a clue about. Before I ran to the phone to claim fraud, I did a quick online check and it turns out it was my SG membership! YEY!
Still sucks though, because I must've been paying this for months and not been using it Ah well, just gotta make up for lost time, eh?
Now that THAT story's been told I'm going to try and tell you all what I've been up to in my absence.
Ok, Download's came and went. What a fucking riot! Such an awesome weekend. It was the first time I had ever camped, let alone been to a festival and I rocked my little socks off. Here's a wee summary of who I saw (and I'll probably miss a fair few out): Motorhead, Judas Priest, KISS!, Incubus, In Flames, Cavalera Conspiracy, Children of Bodom, Apocolyptica, Fightstar... and so many more! It was just fucking perfect!
Here is a sample of me during Kiss (you also get to see my new Dermal Piercing!):
And I LOVE this one!
Can't remember what I last updated, but I also met one of my hero's in May. Sam Beam from Iron and Wine.
I already travelled to Paris to see Iron and Wine in January, and when they came to Glasgow in May there was no chance in hell I was missing them. I stayed outside in the cold for hours after the show like a little fankid and FINALY met him. He was just so awesome. I gave him a black pen and he wrote my favourite lyrics of his on my side... 'Our Endless Numbered Days'. After writing it on me, I told him I was going to get it tattoo'd, but he told me not to Got to respect the man!
At that show I also got my first taste of Bon Iver... met him too. What an amazing musical genius.
I also have had my exam results since I was last on here... passed them all, one not so well but I've found out why and it wasn't lack of knowledge. I've started my dissertation empirical project, too. So I'm doing uni work all summer, but it's SO interesting and I'm getting SO far ahead of everyone else in my course that it's totally worth it. It doesn't even feel like I'm doing work when I do it because it's just so damn good.
Other than all that, I'm just working away at my job serving posh twats and being polite.
Now I need to go Grovel to my SG Scotland Group and apologise for not being here in months!
Peace out, homeboys!
