yikes. you know it's hot when the air conditioner trips the circuit breaker.
i've been working a 6-week stint at a summer computer camp in chicago (beginning of the fourth week now) and today was the first truly hot day. the heat index was 106 degrees today, and we actually kept the kids inside for fear of them getting heat stroke or passing out on us. the only reason i'm sitting in my room right now instead of someplace air conditioned is that it's the only place i can manage to get a little privacy.
right now, i feel... stagnant. like i need to get out, but i don't know where to go. that feeling has been building up for several days now, but i couldn't quite put my finger on what it was before now. i'm also quite tired, but the heat makes it difficult to sleep and, to be quite honest, my tiredness really doesn't bother me that much right now.
you know, i may try and get out to take a walk. the heat is brutal, but i need some exercise, and a walk definitely wouldn't hurt me. i need to go back to the lab and get an off-duty list anyway.
