i turned on my computer to the loveliest error message this morning..." ending boot sequence, operating system not found." since the it dept was occupied with a network virus, my computer ills fell waaay down the food chain, thus forcing me to suggest i spend the day out driving the submarket of a new listing out near mall of georgia, photographing properties. after all, they're paying me to work, i should work! ;]
i love the lush damp heat here, how it clings to your skin, how green it smells. 40 minutes later, and about 6 or 7 miles past my exit i realised that i had forgotten entirely where i was going, listening to morcheeba with the sunroof open and watching the low mountains and trees roll by, enjoying the onset of a summer with all sorts of interesting possibilities.
spent the rest of the afternoon driving in ever-widening circles around mall of georgia with the windows rolled down listening to way too loud music, stopping to ditch my uncomfortable work clothes for a far more weather-appropriate tank top, skirt and sandals. my shoulders are sunburned. my hair is a tousled, tangled mess. i love summer.
time to come back and, whoops! i'll need a new hard drive, no computer for today. i promised to get some work done at home and hit the road again, stopping to drop off my own film (including the first roll shot out of my seagull for cross-process...FINALLY) before heading home. traffic makes summer cruising a little less so, and unfortunately even the back roads i take were completely clogged, so now i'm back at home, tracing roads in illustrator, and feeling completely restless...
