My mom has gone crazy...she's cooking for fun...and, to make it even weirder, with reciepes she invented by herself . (She's actually not a bad cook, either.)
She does this whenever I come back home; I think it probably has to do with...well, its like, when I was born, my mom was an engineer; then when she had kids, she quit, because she realized, "she wanted to be a mom". Only, there are two problems with that: 1. She doesn't think like Martha Stewart or Marge Simpson, she thinks like an engineer , and 2. I was born with cerebral palsy; which shouldn't have made a difference...except that I devloped that whole "crippled kid" mentality where I wasn't going to let anybody nurteir/empathize with/take care of me, because had to prove I could do it all by myself, blah, blah, blah.
And its really kind of hard to mother somebody who takes it as a personal insult when you do (I guess).
So, anyway...yeah, I've grown up a little bit and now whenever I come back home I'm a "guest in her house"
and I have to except hospitality . It doesn't bother me now...I just never really understood how important it was to her until recently...
Anyway, how was your Easter/Passover/Beltaine/every other spring holiday that occured recently?
