what are some of your memories from high school?
the other day my mom sent me an email (my ship email) and she told me that my high school (Gulf High, for anyone who is interested) recently posted all the old pictures from 1999-2006! This got me pretty excited, because I was in a lot of those pictures from 1999-2003. Especially since I had Mr. Miller my Junior year, who is the guy the maintains and updates the website.
as soon as I logged onto the school's page, memories just started flowing back. The class of 2007 donated a really cool looking Buccaneer Statue that they have in the commons area in front of the Cafeteria. Why Couldn't my class do something like that?
i clicked on the link 1999-2000. this was my freshman year at Gulf High School, and wow! what do you know? a picture with me in it is one of the first pictures you see! It's a picture of the new Sophomore Class representatives. I had made Sophmore Class Vice President, and my friend Joe (picture on the left of me) made Class Representative, along with Jeff (right of me) It's crazy how young I look!
I keep scrolling down and its amazing, people I haven't seen in years and I instantly remember them, and I remember the moments around them, and what led to them being there. They even had old Total Sound pictures up there. that was our big year.
We went to district competition that year and got a Supieror and got to go to States in Tallahassee! We only got an excellent, but it was just amazing to be there! We also went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee that year for the first time, and also performed there. So many memories man.
i wish i could go back to high school and relive it all again. i miss high school dreadfully.
