so let the countdown commence!
its July 14th right now and I have 60 days left till I am back home for good and I am out of the Navy!
it feels so good to be almost done! too bad its just taking forever for my time to get here!
it's gonna be pretty sweet being out of the Navy. I'm already looking for a car (anyone got one to sell?) and i'm prolly gonna stay with my parents until I feel like i'm ready to live on my own. my friend Amy said she'd love to have me as her roommate, but I'm not sure about that, as I'd kinda like to be on my own, but after researching prices for apartments in the NPR. the best deal would be to live with her. unless I could find my own place as well as a roommate. anyone wanna be my roommate?
anyone know of any good places to work at? i've been considering either a bookstore such as Books a Million or Barnes and Noble or maybe even Sam's Club, I'd love to work at Vinyl Fever in Tampa, but I don't know if I'd be able to work there, although I don't see why not, as it's near IADT. so we'll see about that I guess.
I started a band somewhat on my ship!
me and my friend Sean got together one day and started messing around with my 4 track recorder and we decided to record ourselves perform Green Day's Brain Stew. Sean plays guitar and I sing, and we both play the drums via keyboard. I'm also what you would say the Producer. haha.
I mixed down the tracks and normalized them with Audacity and made it into an mp3.
its not bad, a lot of people on our ship liked it when we had them listen to it. my voice isn't that great, being as I was sick, and I was sharp in a few places, but other than that its not bad.
if anyone would like to hear it, let me know!
we also decided to name our band The Watchstanders, as we both stand watch all the time, or that's what it seems like at least.
well, hope to hear from you guys soon
later
