Okay, so here's how my St. Patricks day went... I woke up really early in the morning, got dressed, ate, and went to my AO(area of operation). I worked until late in the afternoon. I was supposed to play a soccer game against the Brits, but a last minute formation was called(anyone who has ever been in the military knows that last minute formations are bad). It turned out that the British guys stationed here decided to throw a little party last night. Which isn't a big deal cause they are allowed to drink. But, since there aren't any female Brits here, they invited a bunch of American girls to the party. U.S. soldiers aren't allowed to drink while deployed(or have sex). I spent 3 hours in a formation getting yelled at by my leadership. Then, after the formation, everyone in the battalion had to have their area searched for alcohol. What a fun day.
It's 9:15pm right now. I didn't get to party. I didn't get to drink. I didn't get to have any fun. So, if you're reading this, drink a Guiness for me! Then let me know how good it tasted. Feel free to send me a pic of what you did on St. Patties Day. Maybe I can get a contact high from it. Thanks.
