I finally read The Da Vinci Code over the weekend. I thought I better read it before seeing the movie. It was much cooler than I expected. I followed up right away by also reading Angels and Demons (also by Dan Brown), which wasn't as good, but was still pretty cool.
It has these ambigrams, which are images of words that look the same up-side-down or right-side-up. The artist's name is John Langdon. In the book, the killer brands his victims with these images. The real artist has done tatoos for a bunch of people.
It was a pretty nice day here in the Pacific Northwest, so I hung up my hammock in the backyard and hung out in the sun for a bit. I dig the April showers and all, but I LOVE the sun! Almost time to put the tomatoes in the ground. Already got the peas going, as well as the perennial strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Gonna be some good foraging this summer!

nice! i am jealous. there is no ground where i live that i can plant good things in (there is this disgusting patch of dirt, however, that the nieghborhood cats use as their toilet...the horror that day when i looked down after becoming distracted to see my son holding a cat turd). i lived in oregon for 10 years and if i don't move back there someday, i will always miss it. love, love, love the pacific nothwest!!!
