Yeah, I love the rain on several levels, but umpty-gajillion days straight is just demoralizing.

I had a friend that swore by regular makings of cornbread for keeping his cast iron well-seasoned. I make bacon every now and again for the same reason. Or that's my excuse, anyway.
I <3 Alton Brown, I used to watch his show religiously. I could take or leave the rest. Galloping Gourmet in his drunken days entertained me many an afternoon as a kid though.
