Hello everyone! Who is sick of me? Nobody? Alright then, lets get started on this blog shall we. ;3
I got to visit my grandpa before I pop and can't do much traveling! He lives in a tiny town called Garden City. Which is in a boring state to most of you. Though I enjoy Kansas quite a bit myself. Let me tell you, it was nice to get away from the city! If you are every in Garden City, get some BBQ at Planks! IT'S DELICIOUS! My grandpa may only be 71 years young. Seeing him made me sad some days.... He doesn't really get out and do much. I swear, being with him for five days. I have never watched so much CNN. And news is all he does. I tried to get him out of the house everyday I was there. His back bothers him when he is in a car for to long though. He's quite fragile I came to find out. It was only a year and a half since I had seen him last too. He seemed so different in that way. Also, he smokes like a burning pizza in the oven. He was kind enough to take his smoke breaks outside while I was around. We really just talked about parenting and life a lot. The best stories I have ever heard, have been told by my grandpa. I love him so much. I can't put that love into words. It squeezes my heart til empty. The bottom photo(that bad quality sucks but oh well) is my grandpa, cousin and I. That little pup up top of that, she has got to be 14 years now, my aunt has had that dog for some long. But before she belong to her, she belonged to my mother. That Chicago Tribune is from the day my grandpa was born! November 7, 1942. So many interesting things inside of it! I was scared to turn every page with fear that I would ripe it. He also showed me some old Japanese currency from when he was in the army.
I can not wait until I can go see him and bring Jack along so he can meet his great grandpa!!
My friend Alyssa threw me a baby shower in the Quad Cities! Gah, I couldn't have asked for a better friend and received one quite like her. We are so alike, yet different. We love each other :3 teehe though seriously, we all know baby momma is a nasty way to put things. But hey, I have a good sense of humor! If you didn't know, I'm fucking hilarious, actually.
Everyone who came to the baby shower were old friends. People I never get to see. The group photo is missing a few good peeps, who have kiddies themselves and had to get back to them. My friend with the tiny baby up top there, he was born 12 weeks early! That woman is probably the strongest I know, doing it by herself. Taking all of that worry about her son and still having a smile to bare. She's amazing. As well as her son being a little fighter! We met in art class my sophomore year of high school. She doesn't let me fall off no matter how much I want to annex myself from the world sometimes. Got mad love for her! I even got a photo with my mother and twin brother! For those of you who didn't know, yes, I have a twin. We are chaos together. The photo cracks me up because my mom doesn't think shes near as photogenic as me. She just has bad timing I told her. Teehe. That dog is also her big, stupid German Shepard. Okay, okay, he's not stupid. He's a furry genius. On a serious note though, that dog loves on me so hard when I visit. I love him. Sam is so cuuuute!
This day was perfect. All the snacks there too. MMM I feed Jack GOOD!
Here is a little something I did lately!
