Wow, so I go away for a week and half the SGs quit. What the fuck?

I hope I don't get zotted for saying this (and it says a lot that I actually might), but I'm really pissed at the direction the site is going in. It's normal for SGs to come and go, but...Sicily? Shera? Apnea? Katie? Voltaire? And all in the space of a few days? Wow. When people like that are leaving, you have to ask why.

I've been a member for a little over a year now, and have really enjoyed this site for what it's supposed to be. Unfortunately, it seems to be getting away from that and morphing into a cash cow. I have met some really cool people here and will stick around for at least the time being, but I'm not sure if I will renew when the time comes. We'll see what happens.

Oh, and my new job sucks. Hard. I'm working in account surveillance and fraud for a major financial services company, which basically means...Patriot Act compliance. Yes, I'm doing Bush's dirty work for him. Which is a bit different from what I was told before I took the job. And I'm definitely being undercompensated for what my job involves. So I might not be there long.

And the Cowboys just lost. What next? A meteor? Supervolcano?
