So today, I really didn't do anything much.
This morning, I went to Midtown Comics to pick up new comics, and then went back home. Afterwards, I went out to Jim Hanley's Universe before meeting my co-workers: Jon, Varun, Rich and Lauren, who was late a little bit (which was why I had to have the cell phone out, more on that later).
We went to Don's Bogam BBQ & Wine Bar which is on 17 E. 32nd Street.
It was fun! It was nice, everyone definitely had a great eating experience in the Korean BBQ, the service was great. Rich (who's usually a cheap guy) even paid! Rich paid $40, while Jon and Varun paid $80 each. I can tell that the guys were very much under the influence of alcohol, they said a lot of funny things, and revealed a bit about themselvesI sipped my sake and soju bit by bit, and I drank water, and I was sober as much as Lauren. I could tell Lauren was a bit uncomfortable hanging out, she took a while to feel comfortable. She was comfortable talking with me, but I can tell she didn't say things normally if we were alone together. She's new to hangout with the groupso I hope she had some fun.
After dinner, we went to a bar called 3rd Floor Caf, also called Player's Caf. I'm not sure what the address is, all I can say is, it's on the Third Floor. Duh. Lauren paid for a medium sized soju bottle Whew! She then left immediately afterward, as she had to pack to go to San Francisco to meet her cousin. After she left, the guys talked aboutgirls. Somehow, there's this pretty Russian cleaning lady that comes at 5:30 pm, then talked how Lauren is good-looking, this girl is good looking and that girl.it was amusing to hear them talk like that. I didn't join in, I'm not sure what to say...I usually look more than just "this girl is good-looking", I want an interesting girl, not a just good-looking. I mean, can she debate about books? Sold! If she just looks pretty, I'm not interested.
The guys went our separate ways, and when I came homeI realized that I forgot to pick up my cell phone after Lauren finally came in the restaurant, as I left it out on the table. Drat! I went all the way back, from Queens to NYC, and when I went in the restaurantthey didn't have it. Oh well.
So tomorrow (Thursday), I will go to Verizon Wireless (the one near my neighborhood) and buy a new phone. This time though, I hope to get a good phone, and I will get something I can put on my waist, as I cannot feel the vibrations if I put it in my bag, or in my pocket.
Seriously, I cannot feel the phone vibrating if it's in my pocket or in the bag, which makes me have to carry the phone with my handsand for those of you who you know me, I'm out of sight, out of mind.
