i got a new car! it's a blue ford escort wagon. we got it real cheap from our friend daniel. he lives and works downtown and just doesn't need it anymore. the best part--tape deck! boise radio is so bad, so i'm much relieved to have it. tunes for today while i was running errands: the smiths, alphaville, the replacements. went to the record exchange today, picked up a few things: beck-sea change, doug martsch-now you know, weezer-the lion and the witch lim. edition ep. listening to doug martsch right now. it's amazing. saw him last week downtown at the fish taco place i love. got a great new hat today too! damn, i gotta get my picture up on my profile. going out to dinner with the man before he goes back to the station. trees are turning, life is so good!!!
couple hours later and just had to get back on to say this because i'm a total cheeseball. the new beck record is incredible. listening to sunday sun right now with tears in my eyes. beautiful stuff.

i'd rather see a pic? or not.
the dougie fresh solo record is good... very roots
congratulations on your new found freedom from corporate owned radiostations, well maybe not as much so up there in the clean open air. a cassete deck in the car is the best by far. keeps one from draggin' their cd's all over the damn place, and one can always throw together a quick mix tape and slap it into the slot for pure personal euphonic bliss. by the way, radio basically sucks everywhere, even down here by the changing sea in sunny San D. perhaps it's just me, but it just doesn't feel right listening to music being selected by music programmers and dj nazis. ahh, but i exagerate for effect. congrats and don't ever let the man tell ya what to listen to...
