Mamma will never see that smile again. I have burried many rats in my day, however I can't seem to escort dear Luxor out to the backyard just yet. He even gets a fancy coffin. I *meant* to have some $$ saved up to have him cremated, since he was too special to put underground. But ... well, that didnt happen.
This animal was unbelievable. While being on his death bed, hardly able to breathe or even eat/drink, he held on for another THREE months in this condition, smiling until the very end. Every day I held him in my arms for hours and hours, and he would just brux and boggle away in delight of just spending time with his "person". Never made any attempt to leave his momma. There are "mommas" boys, and there are "daddys" boys, but Luxor was always a momma boy.
I know I posted this photo several months back when he was first starting to die, but who knew he'd last *this* long after that?
I cant say enough great things abt this little guy, he was just so happy all the time. Im soooo happy I got to spend the last few months together everyday, I'm so grateful.

Ahhh, good times, good times.
This yr is going to be really horrid for us, since most of our animals are old and will undoubtedly pass this YEAR. So we'll probably have a death here every few months for quite a while. Some are admittedly harder than others, like I said, some of them are very "special". Some are more Wills than mine, others are my sons.
The next one to go will be one of our twin American blue boys, Nexus.
Guess what? Nexus has lived here since the day he was born.
Look at hjim sucking on his brothers tail! He is abt a wk old here.

AND FINALLY ... if you havent gotten this by now, here it is: fucking BE THERE on SUNDAY!! Or I will HUNT YOU DOWWWWN!! This is a very important show and important ppl will be there! Yeah me, too.

I'm finally eating again, but it's still upsetting my stomach. Bleh! I rea;;y appreciate you coming down here and roughing these losers up. Man, they're sure behaving themselves today. Guess you'll need to do this every few months so they stay in line.
Yeah, I can't use crt monitors any more, only the lcd ones, because they give me massive migraines over time. I have noticed the problem of not blinking often enough and dry eyes. i try to remind myself to blink more, but will occassionally blink and have my eyes sting because I've been staring to long.
To the questions:
~ merlin is my fave of the two cockateils. He's the grey. He likes to hang out on me, my should, chest, legs, whatever, and preen, sing, and have me scratch his head. he's a people bird, and likes to hang out with me. i especially love it when he falls asleep on me. Makes me so happy every time.
~ i don't have rats because I have birds. Actually, I have a bit of a fear of rodentia ever since having hamsters that would bite me. I know, I know, they are nothing like rats. Still, have to say I adore birds. So why don't you have a bird?
~ well, not exactly sure what's up for this entire weekend, but I know Friday is a friend's b-day party. Maybe we'll try to go out for a romantic dinner, K_Rex and I, that is. So far, though, the weekend's pretty open. How about your weekend? Anything fun planned?

I've only had one pet. His name is Nosy and he is incredibly cute. I've only had him a few months but he is awesome. Mostly because he is always there when I need a friend.
I still live with my mom and she thinks rats are dirty. Actually she thinks dogs are dirty too. But I just know she would never go for a rat.
I have no plans. Chores, homework, internet. Maybe take the pup to play in the park if it isn't too cold.
