Today I went to Bellvue, Redmond, Seattle, and Bellingham Washington.
Driving down the main road in Redmond, almost half the buildings we drove by had "Microsoft" on them somewhere... it's weird driving down a street and seeing so much Microsoft.
The place I ate lunch?
Tuesdays, Cingular employees get 20% off
Wednesdays, Microsoft employees get 20% off
Oh... and there are buckets of umbrellas all over downtown, free for anyone to use as needed, and replace when the time comes...
Redmond is a gorgeous little suburb of Seattle, which is a gorgeous city in itself - the thing that really stands out about Redmond? No poverty visible - not to say it doesn't exist, but it likely shuffles itself to Seattle. Property values are retardedly high - low 400's for a townhouse... bizarre.
Still nice to visit though, and one of the coolest downtown areas I've ever seen.
