The other night my girlfriend said something that surprised me...

She's under the impression that sexual play isn't any good unless you're in love with that person, and in a relationship... She was shocked when I disagreed with her, and told her the best sex I've ever had by far was with someone I hardly knew.

Relationship sex has an extra emotional element to it, I'll give it that, but it also lacks a lot of the intensity and "bang" of casual sex.

I know, in a situation where I hardly know someone, but like them well enough that I want to get naked with them, sex isn't about tenderness and snuggling and being close, it's about going mad and wild and getting off like a cannon, as hard and as often as possible... it's about getting the other person off as hard and as often as possible, and making them feel so good that they can never again think of you without getting aroused.

In relationship sex, there can be a lot more strings - and a lot more lines to be avoided. You have a lot riding on the person you're fucking not being grossed out by you, or afraid of you... or disgusted by you... so certain things become more taboo.

I'd be more inclined to be kinky as fuck and crazy erotic with a stranger than with my girlfriend because, frankly, I don't want to offend her - a stranger, if they don't like it, well, you don't have a long term stake in their feelings for you... so strangers and aquaintances and drunked shags = experimentation and fun.

So yeah - I disagree.

I like single sex far better than relationship sex...
