Went to IHOP in White Rock, pigged out.
Went down to Bellingham, Washington... they have not one, not two, but 3 awesome used bookstores on one block:
Henderson Books, Michael`s Books, and latt books.
latt books got my business, because they serve coffee as well, and Michael`s isn`t open on Sundays... Then we went to Barnes and Noble, then Safeway (cheap specialty drinks, A&W cream soda, and Big Red cream soda... what can I say - I love cream soda!), then drove through downtown Lynden (which is a gorgeous little town), and back to Vancouver.
Border crossing people annoy me - third degree every time, some days more than others.
We need to find a way to
a) make border crossing easier for Canadians and Americans
b) eliminate trade tariffs and duties for Canadians and Americans
Actually, if they did b, they wouldn`t need to man the border crossings at all... with all the similarities between the two countries, and our co-dependant nature, the concept of having an open North American economy isn`t too unthinkable.
If not, someone tell Jack in the Box that it`s time they opened some Canadian locations.
