I hate religion.
Not just churches, but gods and devils and beliefs.
They offer false information and false hope - they consume the lives of people who give up experience to sate faith.
I don't dislike religious people... I don't think they're insane, simply brainwashed by their upbringing... someone forgot to tell them that santa claus isn't real, and they'll be waiting for the tooth fairy to bring them change as they begin to expire. Generations upon generations have been brainwashed in this way.
The worse part of all of it?
The only way to find out is to die. What a brilliant way to make something real - make it impossible to prove or disprove, and then make not believeing the path to destruction. What a petty move on the part of those who invented religion.
All one can hope is that people lead good lives, experience the world, and find their own way to be good to other people, or if they can't be good, to at least not be bad.
Morality doesn't come from Christianity - and nobody that ever met anyone who was alive within 3 generations of that Jesus guy ever wrote anything about him. Or any of the people he knew.
Even if he did exist, the odds of anyone that far removed from him writing anything accurate about him?
Don't even bother. The odds of someone on Mars seeing you flipping them the bird from 10 meters under the pacific are much more realistic.
Believe what you will - it all comes down to this.
Live your life - don't let anyone tell you not to experience things, or what's right or wrong. So long as you're not hurting anyone, it's none of their business. Try not to hurt yourself either - life's too short to blow your brains out on drugs that can kill you instantly.
Life's too short to waste it following ancient rules and tithing to fraudulent gods.
