Today was a pain in the ass.
Went to crappy tire, got a tune up for my car. Needed some new ignition cables, and a new head gasket.
I love that these things only cost me $25 - I hate that the labour to install them was like $250. My ass hurts.
SO after waiting from 9:30am to 2pm to get my car back (running much better), I went shopping for the ingredients I needed for my next BBQ excursion. Some fresh dill, some baby carrots, and some mushrooms.
Essentially I made the same thing I did on Sunday, but I had steak instead of chicken, and there was a dish comprised of lightly seasoned and buttered mushrooms and chopped celery, wrapped in foil and cooked on the BBQ for around 12 minutes. It turned out very well.
I think I'm going to shop around for some proper serving dishes... mixing bowls and tupperware just don't cut it. I have some motivation to actually cook some decent meals, and I need a proper dining collection to do it right. And a tablecloth, and some nice flatware. And some more people to cook for too - just cooking for two is lame, especially when one of the two is a little weak in the experimentation department *lol* I can BBQ chicken, broil chicken, fry chicken, bake chicken... but I like playing with other meats too... no point though if I'm the only one eating them.
After dinner, went to the mall and got my glasses adjusted (they no longer slide down my nose, but they're a little crooked... gonna have to go back and get the crooked fixed), then perused the pet store, chapters, another pet store, and all the lovely gas stations charging 1.05 per litre... fucking con-artist bastard oil companies (I'm sure anyone from the UK knows it all too well - we're on the way to join you).
