You know, while there can be physical factors exacerbating it, depression is primarily about beliefs and our expectations for the future. We can change our predictions and feel much better but there are neural pathways that we've formed, which is a fancy way of saying we have learned to automatically react a certain way and these don't disappear overnight. Stubbornness is required to unlearn the things that contribute to being depressed. You will recall that I did it so this isn't fiction. You can do it too!
