Sorry you're missing it so much, but it sounds like you are having fun getting to know your new locale! Nice that you are making friends so quickly, and I love that you and that girl are keeping the populations even.
I just typed TestyKitty that she was the only one who recommended a movie I hadn't already seen, but apparently I lied! I thought I had seen "mon oncle d'amerique", but I think it was some other movie with an American uncle!
I "saved" it to my Netflix queue, apparently it's not out on dvd yet. It sounds great though. I love Gerard Depardieu!
