I'm kind of fascinated by the Scottish (British?) practice of getting 'kebabs' after going out drinking. That which is called a kebab here is pretty much take-out friendly Middle Eastern/Greek food, with pizza and french fries also usually offered.
I'm fond of the "Chips with Doner Meat." Doner meat is Gyros meat in the US. When you buy it, they give you a layer of chips aka french fries topped with a layer of meat, then thoroughly coat it all with chilli sauce and garlic sauce (which garlic sauce is indistinguishable, to me, from mayonnaise.)
Found a pretty good kebab shop last night called Che's, that has a picture of Che Guevara as its logo. The chilli sauce is nice and vinegary. Note: I have never actually found these chilli sauces to be hot. The Taco Bell Volcano sauce is moreso (and that's not very hot.)
Also, pizza seems to pretty much be drunk-person food around here. Oh, sometimes bachelors will buy a frozen pizza to make at home or something like that, but the only time people seem to report actually going out for pizza, it's never because they were hungry, it's because they were drunk.

That Che shop sounds kind of unique.
