Ears are going kind of bad again, I'm back to thinking I may need a doctor. The pain is actually more severe this round when it comes, though it seems to sort of vanish then reappear kind of inexplicably... sleeping (laying down?) seems to make it incline away. I'm getting disturbed, as well, by noticing my hearing isn't the same as usual -- like I was even just humming to myself, and the noise of my own voice wasn't the same.
Before the ear pain set in yesterday I went out to a storytelling group and met a couple interesting people. One guy I think "likes" me and he tried to invite me out tonight... I actually would have gone even though he kind of creeps me out, but the ear thing is keeping me home.
I was also pleased yesterday that our dear "Mr. Hat" was actually talking to me. I got around to asking him one question I'd had about his life, that I'd been so far disappointed I hadn't been able to inquire about. Now, I don't know if I mentioned I named him Mr. Hat because he owns a lot of interesting ones... and there are lots of photos of him in a tricorn and dressed kind of like a pirate floating around on his Facebook. He mentioned something about his "pirate days" and I asked him what he meant. He replied, in the same way that one speaks about an old job, that for 5 years he dressed and lived as a pirate. If he will talk to me again I might press further for details about this.

I might sound like a hippy / new ager here, but have you tried hopi-candles for your ear ache?
