My dad had sent me a little money to go out here and there, I guess he was tired of hearing about me sitting home alone all night. So this evening I went out and had 3 girly sort of martinis at a place called Centrotre. I had a Miss Martini which was vodka,Chambord, raspberries, cream and syrup; an Espresso Martini of espresso, Kahlua, and vodka; and a Marmalade Martini of marmalade, Campari, sweet vermouth, gin and sugar. Chatted happily with the barkeep, and near the end of my evening with 2 pleasant ladies who were out with their men.
One thing I'm needing to get used to is that Edinburgh is a younger town, everything doesn't just shut down at 10 PM like in Santa Fe; so if I go out to drink at 6 PM that's still 'too early' for around here. Things don't seem to get jumping till 8 or so.
Glimpsed Mr. Hat while out though I don't know whether he saw me. I also went to Greyfriars in the dark; it was snowing when I was there. My iPhone camera isn't well suited to taking nighttime photos, but here's probably the best of what I got:

Those 3 martinis sound amazing. Not to mention on the sweet and sugary side. I really want some raspberries and cream right friggin now.
