Success in doing a storytelling (pretty much) but... failure in really meeting any new folks, and also failure in getting to the second party I was supposed to be at tonight in a tunnel in Holyrood park (Google's directions for how to get places off my street are always a mess... anytime I want to get to Holyrood it just leads me into a walled car park that has no other obvious streets nearby.)
As for the storytelling, kind of half on whether to attend regularly, it reminds me of doing commedia dell'arte at that Lutheran church last year. About half the attendees seem too prim and proper, but another half seem like cool folks... who are trying to be prim and proper for the sake of the old folks.
But I think this is maybe why I feel like myself again in Edinburgh, for the first time in a very long time... I think I'm not really supposed to fit in anywhere, and Santa Fe usually embraces differentness and individuality to the point where it's like that joke "Remember, you're different and special. Just like everyone else." Here I can kind of stir some trouble and be a bit of a weirdo again in a way that's actually weird -- which I think is how I'm supposed to be.

Every town needs a good eccentric, and you are definitely one of the better ones for whom any town could ask.
