Well, my parents just got a house in Santa Fe, so I definitely now have that possibility of moving back with them (and not with grandma!) if needed...
Trouble is I just remember what a miserable world Santa Fe is.
Edinburgh would be a little tricky to stay in -- especially with some unfortunate timing thanks to local festivals and the Olympics in London -- but does feel much more lively, yet without the intensity of a place like New Orleans. It's more peaceful and pleasant, but with more goth kids than I think I have ever seen before in one place Goth Night at The Pulse included, and you can get haggis pies, and baked potatoes with haggis, and THE BEST FUDGE EVER!!(!!!) (Seriously, when I had friends tell me they were going to Edinburgh and they wanted recommendations where to go, I directed them to the Fudge Kitchen across from the John Knox House.) I also have located the witchcraft shop and the herb store, so I'm good to go as far as rootwork,
