After three times trying to book tickets to Edinburgh (4 if you count that I was perfectly willing to use RyanAir's website but it wouldn't acknowledge my orders) I think I have a horrible sounding journey arranged beginning tomorrow of getting out of France by bus (using the chunnel? I have no idea) and arriving sometime the following day, presumably after sleeping overnight in a train station in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Reims was kind of fun, the museums in Paris were okay, but I don't think I ever want to visit Paris again. Admittedly the experience seems to be very very different if you stay in nice hotels and nice parts of town and you do tourist stuff and have plenty of vacation money and your plans all arranged long in advance; and maybe aren't traveling as a solo female. I tried to enjoy whatever time wasn't spent having to book new hotels and haul bags all over town; but even that tended to get interfered with by how slimy the guys around here are. I can't believe when I first announced I was going to Paris, more than one person hopefully suggested I might meet a guy in France and get married!
