The sexual harrassment in France (or at least Paris) is unbearable. I used to live next to a homeless shelter in Santa Fe, so I put up with a bit from people who are homeless due to the fact that this is how they act so they can't get real jobs -- but here in France it seems it'll be any guy who you happen upon, and I've had as many issues in 2 weeks of France as I did in 7 years of Santa Fe. Maybe it would be slightly better if I could speak better French, and thus I could complain to someone at the hotel when the guy working the lobby just follows me into my room and announces "I sleep here weez you tonight?" -- but presently my linguistic skills are not up the the task.
