Still doing my best to make the best of France -- I ate at the oldest restaurant in the city (founded 1686) and went to Notre Dame. The pigeons here are really lazy and dumb. I went right up to one and poked it and it didn't even fly away.
Also went to Pere Lachaise Cemetery for the second time -- still I cannot find the grave of Beaumarchais!
But the trouble with having fun is it distracts from the necessities... I must figure out a place to stay, I need to be able to live somewhere spending not more than 35 euro a day for lodging and related matters, and that's not possible in Paris now. (Even with my dad's promise -- which I don't know how he'd keep, since he doesn't have a place even for himself yet -- that he'd pay for half of whatever I find.) I had come to Paris hoping to have a life, not a week of fun and then sleeping in the park, which is where we are headed now.
