Went to the Apple store today and had the Geniuses try to figure out how to fix my computer. The girl I was assigned at first didn't seem to know much about the Google redirect virus, but (of course) the nerdiest looking guy there got all excited when he heard the trouble, and knew al about it, and how to fix it. It was something about clearing caches and adjusting DNS settings -- he did it all by way of code. Anyway, the computer is currently working as normal, so I hope it will stay that way.
[EDIT: Nope. The redirect is back again.]
While I was at the Mac store my dad, who'd had to drive me there, got bored and went to the bar at a restaurant nearby. He ordered a glass of Silver Oak which was like $30. Thing that I started noticing when I was in Minnesota though, while my dad is really kind of irresponsible with money, nevertheless, the benefit to be had is that he has a lot more fun (and those of us who accompany him also.) I got a glass of some kind of muscat with him when I was done with my errands.
