Been in Minnesota a few days, already found many jobs to apply for and a couple have started contacting me back for interviews. Also found an opera company to audition for.
While it's hardly dignified to say you live in your sister's basement (that might even be a step down from "I live with my parents") the room here is actually kind of nice, other than its being full of Jessica's stuff instead of my own. My dad suggested if I offer her $200 a month rent to get her stuff out of here she would probably do it because she loves money.
Biggest problems: the kitchen and kitchen supplies are rather poor, and Jessica doesn't keep a lot of stuff around for cooking, and she doesn't like to eat vegetables. I'm eating, so far, just whatever Kevin (sister's live-in boyfriend) cooks, but I'm going to get scurvy at this rate. Plus Kevin's not exactly a great cook; he keeps making rice but it's really bad rice, all watery still. Need to figure out something I can make. I did get a cucumber and some sandwich supplies today.
