FRIEND: Do you have any tattoos?
ME: No.
FRIEND: Come to think of it, that's a silly question. You don't like to have even a single freckle!
ME: I suppose I could just tattoo myself white and not have to worry about it anymore.
Yep, so on my trip (or maybe just a bit before the trip) I seem to have ended up too long in the sun and gotten all tan and freckled in the exposed areas. I'm getting to test out all the classic skin lightening treatments of tincture of benzoin and citric acid, and also the newer cures like hydroquinone and Likas soap. (I think the newer stuff might be working better, though my skin is a lot softer in the areas where I'm using the acid.)

Isn't it a bit extreme to apply acids to your skin? Wont the effects of sun exposure fade with time?
