Still no new progress on my movie. Have to contact the opera again and see about the costumes, and if the person in charge will actually answer me this time, but I don't feel too hopeful really. I guess I need to increase the budget somehow so I can sew outfits for everyone. Even another $100 - $150 might be adequate if I just do it all myself. Another $100 on that and I could hire an assistant for a day or two to help.
Meanwhile the recent medical dramas have not been helping me concentrate on the film any. I don't think I'm going to see doctors anymore -- I only went to have this round of shit done at the urging of my dad who was concerned that I hadn't had a checkup in about 20 years. I felt fine BEFORE I went to this doctor, and all my tests in everything were normal or not anything to worry about. It was free in terms of money, but it's cost me a lot of time and strife. Even that stupid dermatologist I used to have, I had to TELL what to prescribe for me to get anything that worked, so it seems I do a better job with medicine than these fuckups. If I could just write my own damn prescriptions for acne medicine (really, why do they even require it? What, am I going to OD on Retin-A?) I'd have no need for them at all.
I'm also trying to figure out what to do with the new website. I'm going across the web and where possible changing the old Talia's Tarot backlinks to Lucky Temple backlinks. I'd like to invest in some ads but money is a bit tight, since I'm trying to save everything I have for the movie.

Suddenly finding yourself responsible for getting a piece of software that you've never looked at before working, when it's not, and about a thousand people are waiting on you, will provide the latter pair in abundance.
It's even more fun when it may not even be a problem with the software in question, but an environmental issue, or problems elsewhere in the production system. It gets to be rather like a frantically-paced murder investigation, where if you solve the crime, the victim comes back from the dead. And where you (or the person you are standing in for) may have been the murderer.
It's always best when you exonerate yourself, of course.
FYI, the book hunting date ended up being a 10 hour long conversation and my housemate was REALLY worried about me coz i left my phone at home and she was wanting to know if i wanted thai take out for dinner.
She's now in a drunken stouper. BEST HOUSEMATE EVER
