Looks like bringing up the illustrated 'Tis Pity She's a Whore I did made an unexpected dent in sales and the book is actually profitable now! That's good -- I'm pretty fond of the drawings of the characters. (I never did come up with a drawing of Giovanni that I liked though; and hence you only see him in miniature, in the background of a picture of Annabella and Soranzo.) Vasques I modeled on Scaramouche.
In other art related news, my great-aunt (who is actually younger than my dad), the famous-ish artist Zara Kriegstein died. At first we were all shocked and went, "What could she have died from? She seemed fine!" Then someone said cirrhosis and everyone went "Oh." She was always drinking from Gatorade bottles but, everyone knew it was never actually Gatorade in them.
I'm kind of a bad person. My first thought on the news was "Oh, that's too bad." My second thought was "Hey, our art collection just doubled in value!"

grayness:
On you, the badness fits well, for it does not seem a bad born of malice, but rather simple-matter-of-fact. You've always struck me as a bit akin to a force of nature, that way.
